This week has been a complete whirlwind. Pam (Ryan's Mom) flew into town a week ago Friday, and has had a blast with the kids and vice versa. They have been helping her pull weeds and playing outside, going for walks and playing "school." Brennan sets up a little classroom and Peyton and Pam are the students. Brennan calls them up to the front of the class to do different things such as sing their favorite song.
This week was also Ryan's Birthday. He is the big 33. It was fun to celebrate and to have his mom here. Ryan is not a big fan of cake, so I made both a Banana Cream Pie and a Lemon Meringue Pie. I was feeling very ambitious. I have made pies before, but had never attempted a Lemon Meringue from scratch. I must say it turned out quite well and got rave reviews from the family.
We also went down to the parents for Labor Day. We had a great time, we swam all day and had a barbecue. Here are some pics from our day.
